Attached is the .QWC (QuickBooks Web Connector) file you will need. This file must be edited every time we setup a new ClientID to work with QuickBooks, in order to make it custom for that Client. Edit it in NotePad and change the UserName to be for the Customer you’re giving the file to (in this case, it is correct, in that the OID for the Client is 1415). So if you were giving this to SIW, their UserName would be qb290 (where 290 is the OID for SIW’s SFONLINE ClientID).
Here is the URL you need to download the QuickBooks Web Connector software from Intuit and install it onto the computer that has QuickBooks Desktop: Once you get the Installer, you can save it and just ship it out to the clients who want to use it.
Go ahead and install the Web Connector on the same machine that has QuickBooks on it.
Then, copy the .QWC file to that machine as well, and double click it to make QuickBooks load it. It will then go through a series of questions about authorizing SureFire to be allowed to access and change QuickBooks data. This is well documented on the web by other companies like us (I found screen shots and everything).
Documents with Steps are attached. SUREFIREOLDB_DATADUMP is the QWC file that is required to sync to the blank QB system to see the OIDs if matching for an existing MFG. (otherwise not necessary).
SUREFIREOLQB.QWC is a clean QWC file. We use this when we have a hard time getting a QWC file into the QB system with errors. Change one letter in the Owner ID or one letter in the File ID (don't remember which) and the username to whatever MFG you're going to (The username is: QB + OID of client ID).
DON'T ASK DALE IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR IT DOESN'T WORK
